Andrew McKinna co-founded leading Luxembourg-based life insurance company Lombard International Assurance SA. The company was established in 1991 to pioneer cross-border business from Luxembourg in anticipation of a Single Market in Financial Services and increased sales and profits at an average rate of 40 per cent per annum over the next eight years. Andrew sold his shares in the company in 1999.

Jonathan Shingleton founded Business Planning & Research International (BPRI), which, under his management, became one of the UK's top 10 business-to-business consulting and research firms, with offices in London, Chicago, Sydney and associates in Tokyo and Shanghai. BPRI is the only research company to win the Queen's Award for International Trade. Jonathan sold BPRI to WPP Plc in 1999, since when he has had more time to pursue his passion for blue water sailing while retaining a variety of business interests.
