A national study across all 12 regions of the UK providing a unique, objective and statistically robust analysis of the size of the talent pool for foreign languages and for technical IT skills. Reporting level is at the UK and regional level. One of the key findings is the under-utilisation of talent in the UK - the majority of fluent language speakers are not using these skills at work and only half of those with technical IT skills (e.g. advanced programming skills) are currently using these skills at work.A unique aspect is the inter-regional commuting data - as the Location Skills Audit covers location of residence and work. The report also provides a selection of key socio-economic data and on earnings for technical IT professionals.
